Mental Health Services
Lived CARE offers mental health services in the areas of Counselling, Advocacy, Research, and Education. Lived CARE providers and collaborators have their own lived experiences with the mental health system, whether that be personally or through supporting a loved one. This unique insight into recovery and navigation of mental health challenges allows our practitioners to provide a therapeutic space that prioritizes trauma-informed care, human connection, and authenticity. Advocacy & Research
Our virtual counselling services are for adults and couples living in Ontario seeking support for challenges relating to stress, low mood, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, identity, and tough life experiences.
Our therapeutic approach is integrative, using a wide range of modalities and perspectives in treatment depending on individual needs, including but not limited to:
Trauma-informed, experiential, and somatic techniques
Relational, existential, and depth-oriented approaches
Structured modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
A collaborative and nonjudgemental environment to explore personal challenges, manage stress, and enhance mental well-being. If you are navigating specific issues or working towards greater self-understanding, our sessions are tailored to your unique journey and therapeutic goals.
We offer a safe and empathetic space where partners can explore communication issues, rebuild trust, and rediscover their relationship. Whether you are looking to better navigate conflicts, build greater understanding, or enhance intimacy, our couples' sessions provide strategies to build healthier, happier relationships.
Pulling resources from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills training, we offer short-term (4-8 sessions) virtual group therapy which covers topics such as Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotional Regulation.
